To get the best possible display from your computer monitor, you may need to adjust the refresh rate. If the refresh rate is too low, the monitor can flicker, which can cause eye strain and headaches. To change the refresh rate:
Using Windows XP:
- Right mouse click on your desktop and select properties
- Go to the settings tab, and then click advanced
- Go to the monitor tab, and select a refresh rate of at least 75 Hertz
Using Windows Vista:
- Right mouse click on your desktop and select personalize
- Select display settings, and then click on the advanced settings button
- Go to the monitor tab, and select a refresh rate of at least 75 Hertz
